Building Balanced Meals

A balanced meal includes all macronutrients and a variety of micronutrients.

Plate Method:

  • Protein: 40-50% of total calories
  • Carbohydrates: 25-35% of total calories
  • Fats: 20-25% of total calories
  • Vegetables: Unlimited (low-carb, non-starchy)

    Example: Steak with quinoa, 2-3 different veggies, and a drizzle of olive oil.
